About Us

Retail Location Got Baseball Cards was founded on May 6th, 1991 by current owner Joe Davis and Jeff Porter under the name J&J's Sports Section. We originally operated out of a 500 foot retail storefront in Avondale Estates, GA. We relocated to Snellville in 1998. We also began selling online to the public that year via ebay. Soon after that, we introduced one of the industry's first eBay consignment programs for sports cards. In 2001, eBay awarded us with the eBay Award of Achievment for excellence in online selling.

We introduced the gotbaseballcards.com website in 2003 to help our customers better search our on-line inventory through eBay and Beckett. We have over 775,000 unique items to purchase from this site with a total inventory of approximately 10 million cards. We recently added www.collectibles-superstore.com to showcase the over 100,000 items we are offering via Amazon.com. This is where we offer not only one of the industry's finest selection of sportscards, but also boardgames, plush toys, and other collector's items. We remain one of the largest buyers and sellers of sports cards and collectibles in the country.

Got Baseball Cards is also open to the public six days a week in our Snellville, GA retail location, J&J's Sports SuperStore, located just outside of Atlanta. Here we have over 6000 feet of sports cards and collectibles for the entire family. At our retail store, we stock all the hottest new boxes & singles, as well as an extensive selection of supplies, toys, & more! We are proud of our stellar reputation within the industry. Our president has previously served as a marketing advisor for the Beckett.com marketplace. In addition, he spent time with other industry leaders in meetings with former eBay president Meg Whitman to help shape the future of the industry's most recognized online portal.
OUR TEAM:
Got Baseball Cards has a team of elite industry veterans including Joe Davis (CEO) & Ron Lee (Retail & Online Manager), both with 20+ years of experience within the hobby. The other members of our all-star team include Ron Nelson (CFO/Toys & Games Manager), Casey Palmer (Shipper Manager & Retail Assistant), & Charlie Price (SportsCard Assistant & Authentication Specialist).
In recent years, we were blessed with the outstanding efforts of many other fine full-time employees including (alphabetically) Rebekah Cook, Jeff Gautier, John Studer, & Charlie Todd. They each contributed greatly to where our company is today and their efforts will not be forgotten.

Joe DavisFounder & CEO
Joe opened J&J's Sports the week he graduated with a B.S. from Berry College. Unlike the BS you receive from some card dealers, Joe's was actually a Bachelor Of Science degree in Business. While at Berry, he was honing his skills in the sportscard industry by promoting shows and spending all of his parents' money on collections.
Ron LeeShipping & Purchasing Manager
Ron joined our company in 1992 and has over 20 years experience in the industry. His typical days involves playing with foam peanuts alongside of ensuring that all orders are shipped to the customer as quickly as possible.
Ron NelsonCFO
Ron joined our team in 2004 after many years in the corporate world. He not only oversees the financial end of the company, but also helps coordinate inventory listings across multiple sites.
