I know, I know, you are wondering what in the world is this link doing on a sports cards & collectibles site? Let me explain. My name is Joe Davis, president of GotBaseballCards.com, Collectibles-SuperStore.com, and countless other
online collectibles websites, any of which may have provided a link to this webpage.
As a kid, I always asked my friends did they have any baseball cards, thus the phrase "Got Baseball Cards?".... Years ago though, I realized a far more important question,
that being, do you know Jesus?
Notice the question is not "Do you go to church?"... I attend church regularly, but just going to a building does not make you a Christian any more than going to McDonalds
makes you a hamburger...
You see, knowing Jesus Christ as your savior is not about "religion", it is about a relationship. It is about a relationship with the God that not only
created the universe, but came to earth in the form of a man, and died on a cross for the sins of all.
The Bible says that "All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God"(Romans 3:23)
I know that I certainly fall into that category as a sinner. This was true both before I asked Christ into my life and since doing so. The difference is that now I fully know that I can
receive forgiveness for the things I've done wrong. If you think you could never be forgiven, you don't know what I've been through. Because of my multitude of sins, I should never
deserve forgiveness in the eyes of man, but thankfully I have a loving Heavenly Father who forgives all. The prophet Paul was considered the greatest persecutor of Christians, yet He became the
greatest missionary of the New Testament after giving his life to Christ.
The Bible says that "There is no one righteous, no not one" (Romans 3:10)...so
basically we're all in the same boat. We are all deserving of an eternity separated from God, yet He loved us so much that He sent His son Jesus Christ to die for us. He committed no sins
yet suffered and died on a cross, shedding his blood for our sins so that we could be forgiven.
I don't understand it all, but I know that I am a sinner. I know that I have been forgiven because I asked Christ to
come into my life, to save me and to change me. Do I still fail him miserably at times? Yes. Does He still forgive me? Yes.
In 2007 I traveled to Russia as part of a ministry team and had the opportunity to worship with believers in Moscow and St. Petersburg. I could not speak their language, yet we were able
to worship the same God together. Christ died for my sins, their sins, and yours. It does not matter where you were born or what you've done. He Loves You and wants to come into your life.
I'm glad you visited our site today, but more than sports cards or toys, the greatest thing you could ever get from being here is
realizing that you too need a relationship with Jesus Christ. All you have to do is pray and ask Him to come into your life and forgive you of your sins. I can promise you that you will
never regret it, for it is the wisest decision I have ever made in my life. My relationship with Jesus Christ not only gives me the promise of an eternity in Heaven, but peace
and joy on this earth that cannot be experienced any other way. I hope that you'll make the same decision I did. If you have any questions about the Christian life, I'd be happy to talk
with you via my personal email or by phone. Thanks for reading and May God Bless YOU!
FootNote... Shown below is a video from one of my favorite singers Michael English. Michael won many awards as a vocalist early in his career, but then had an affair, left his wife, remarried, and divorced again. He also went through drug rehab multiple times, but his story does not
end there... today Michael is drug free, and is being used by God again to minister in song to churches all over our country. His story is much like each of ours, as we are all in need of "Redemption"
... hope you enjoy...
